| A region of plenty
Kaipara Harbour
The Kaipara Harbour is the largest harbour in the Southern Hemisphere and is located on the North Island of New Zealand just over one hours drive north from Auckland on state Highway 1. The new Northern Motorway Extension, having opened four months ahead of schedule, has made the journey even easier.
Rodney District
Right next door to Hinamoki is Rodney District, the country's fastest growing district from 2001 to 2006. Increasing numbers are making the area - known as the winterless north because of its delightful climate - their first or second home. As a result, the number of households in the area has doubled in recent years.
Kaipara District
The Kaipara District has had growth across all sectors from 2001 to 2006. Population growth of 3.8 percent, occupied dwellings 6.2 percent, medium income 27 percent increase, annual house price growth since 2002 has been 16 percent and costal farms value up to NZD 32,500 per hectare.
Auckland's Growth Plan

The Auckland Regional Policy Statement (RPS) provides an overview of the resource management issues applying to the region. The Auckland Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) provides a vision for the Auckland region, principles for evaluating growth alternatives, possible regional growth concept and implementation mechanisms. |
